This is a fan site dedicated
to the works of Jacques Fred Petrus. Together with Mauro Malavasi and a large number of talented studio musicians from
Italy and New York, he created and produced classic 80’s dance music acts like Change, BB&Q Band, Peter Jacques
Band and The Ritchie Family. Also known as The Goody Music Orchestra, or Little Macho Music, their brand of disco stood out
for its sophistication and originality.
Jacques Fred Petrus' music had a very recognizable and unique style,
which was the result of blending European and New York dance music influences. Most
of the music tracks were written and recorded in Italy, and then mastered and finished in New York. The vocals were recorded in
New York as well, using the very finest session singers. The most well
known of these is of course Luther Vandross, but others included Gwen Guthrie, Melis'sa Morgan, Alyson Williams and Kashif.
On this site you will find an overview of all their releases, historical facts and figures, and links to related webcontent.
