What I think

The Peter Jacques Band was a typical example of a studio disco project. The name was a clear "play" on Jacques Fred Petrus' name. The group members changed with every album that came out; the consistency came from the writing, production and studio musician efforts in Italy.

The first album of The Peter Jacques Band was a typical "child of it's time". It contained 4 tracks only:
A1. Walking on music (
8:16)
A2. Devil's run (
8:30)
B1. Fire night dance (
8:40)
B2. Fly with the wind (
9:03)

Lead singer on the album was Leroy Burgess. Mauro Malavasi contributed to all 4 tracks as a writer and also arranged and conducted all tracks.

All tracks appeared on 12", with "Walking on music" being the most popular cut. In the US, the whole package of 12 inches was released by Prelude as one (see picture on the left).

On the original US Prelude release the band name was inadvertently spelled as Peter JaQCues Band. If you have this version you have a rare issue which has become quite valuable!

The second album was a little more elaborate. It contained 6 tracks:
A1. Counting on love (1, 2, 3) (
5:20)
A2. Welcome back (
6:27)
A3. The louder (
7:02)
B1. Is it it (
5:22)
B2. Exotically (
5:55)
B3. Might fine (
5:27)
The lead singer on this album was Jacob Wheeler, and Mauro Malavasi again took all the composing, arrangement and conducting credits. Luther Vandross, who had cooperated also on the Change project, wrote the lyrics for "Welcome back". The single from this album was "Counting on love (1, 2, 3)", with "The louder" on the B-side.

A third and last album came out in 1985, called "Dancing in the street". "Drives me crazy", "Dancin' down the street" and "
Mexico" were released on 12". The music sounded very similar to the Change album "Turn on your radio" which was released in the same year..

The track listing is as follows:
A1. All right let's go
A2. This night
A3.
Mexico
A4. Everybody have a party
B1. Going dancing down the street
B2. Drive me crazy
B3. Hightime
B4. Don't say you've gotta go
